Not my bag as they say but is anybody after a 280sl or 190e for restoration. Both were up and running when parked up a few years back. The SL would be an easy job but the 190e not so. However the 190 was modified by Rude mercs from new and has been owned since 6 months old. If your into retro shit you will know how rare it is and how desirable. If your interested message me.  Unfortunately the owner had his car repainted a rather unusual colour but didn't check for rust on the underside first. One failed MOT but all sorted and ready to go back home. 
As the 2CV8 is pretty much done it's time to make a start on tidying the race XJ. As it's been a bit neglected for the last 5 yrs. As you can see new boy Allen (he's actually retired so more of an old boy ! ) is a dab hand with cleaning and I'm pretty impressed . The nasty welded patches are not our doing and we're on it when purchased but think it's time to tidy them up or redo them.  Is there a better looking engine. Somehow Jaguars XK engine just looks so right.  Why when you are suppose to fit unf do people put metric crap in. It can't just be me who finds the finer thread just looks better !  The poor old Tatra has some rot in the rear suspension. But no problem as all available and en route from the Czech Republic !  Bit chilly over the weekend but kept me busy. Rear wing is not going anywhere now. Just have to order some proper fasteners to finish it off.   |
