it rained . Rusted panels replaced and now painted ready to fit a new screen next week and it can head off home.
Made a plug for the Speedo drive hole in the 2CV8 gearbox which I had forgotten about ! Just as well I had to take the prop out or I would have ended up with oil everywhere. Lol
The E type that came in for the bonnet to be painted before Christmas, as usual turned into more with the usual "can you just" The customer decided to go for a complete repaint which made a lot of sense as nobody knew when or what paint had been used previously. Now Paul has painted it , and it looks lovely. We all know exactly what the paint is now and as the owner carries on restoring and assembling it any little mishaps can be touched up or put right a whole lot easier.
We have a German client who is looking to purchase a S2 Daimler Sovereign Vanden Plas in at least a very nice order. If you have or know someone who has such a car please let us know.
New in date harness and extinguisher fitted along with another steering wheel ( I haven't driven it yet but it's had 6 different one's) Hopefully I'll find one that I don't change my mind about after 6 months ! Lots of fun and blooded knuckles getting the prop shaft out to send away to be checked and balanced as I fabricated it from Rover and Ford one's. It's the last thing to do and she's ready to test !! Other than a bit of alloy polishing that is !.
Mustang in for a new front cowl as leaking when it rains. But as usual other rusted areas are found. All sorted and going back together now.
