The Hexagon Elan+2 that we restored a few years ago was back in for a few bits of interior to be remade/ renewed and the E type is in for a complete makeover !
Starting to get organised in what will be our 'clean work' workshop. So finished off fitting the Lotus door trim to a new door card. Not easy with old vinyl and stitching but imperative to retain originality.
More progress on the Jaguar 21/2 litre. It's painstakingly slow at times but anything you break on this age car is not so easy to replace or renew. So far ,so good.
What a beautiful car ! Might not be the real thing but most could not tell and at anywhere up to half a million could or would you even want to drive a real one in the winter.
Race E type rusty boot floor removed along with bump stop brackets. New floor in next along with a new rear panel as was worse than expected.
1948 Jaguar 2.5 litre badly rusted and partly missing door bottom inner frame remade along with door skin bottom. A bit of fettling and it's done. Only three more to go.
