Walked into work to discover the V12 E type had deposited Pas fluid all over the floor due to the rack deciding it has had enough and followed by a TR6 cylinder head that really didn't want to part company with the block. Both a struggle but we won !
One 4.2 series 1 rebuilt engine going in and 1 3.8 series 1 Eagle GT having its tappet clearances reset.

Due to an ever increasing work load and another major E Type restoration to be carried out along with our existing work I am in need of another pair of hands. Please only contact me if you have had previous experience of Restoration as this is a necessity. Oh and you have a happy disposition !
The things you see! Jaguar 340 in for a service, turns up and the owner says the rear axle has just started a mile or two down the road making a horrendous noise. I jump in the car and within 5ft in reverse I can tell the pinion is grinding into something. So a quick look underneath confirms the issue, dropped the axle ready to strip and we have loose propshaft bolts and best of all nobody has put any split pins in the hub retaining nuts. Obviously they didn't realise what the big hole was for !. They did what is a first for me and tried to peen the halfshalf end over with a centre pop. It didn't work !
Race E pedal box modified by us to have adjustable brake bias and a stronger mounting frame as will obviously have a lot harder use than a road car. Blasted, powder coated and all new cylinders fitted along with all plated fasteners.
Lovely low owner and mileage TR6 . Unfortunately in to have it's engine rebuilt as it has very little in the way of compression. Not that bad I suppose considering it has never been apart in 50yrs !
