It is always nice to hear some of our older Restoration's are still alive and kicking.
We did a complete restoration on this one 31yrs ago and it's still looking really good. The new owner was having trouble with closing the passenger door and asked if I could help. Having sorted the door I had a look around the car and remarked on the electronic ignition and how we've never had one go wrong. An hour later I get a phone call and the guy says the AA man has diagnosed a dead ignition and can you take it in and fix it. The AA dropped it off and we checked the wiring connections and you guessed it, having touched them it started. Now it's stuck with us with a ' while it's there can you just '.
It never stops, another two 3.8 E type engine's for rebuilding while one is dismantled and at the machinists. Fourth one is waiting for the minute we have space!
A slightly damaged XJS Celebration 4Lt straight 6 in for a total makeover to restore back to it's former glory.
Engine has now been fitted back in to this series 3 V12 E-Type Jaguar after having a gearbox rebuild.
