The 2CV8 is getting very close to firing up. Fitted the new modified rocker covers ( being dry sumped they don't need a filler ) breather pipes ( but still need to chose bottles ) fuel pressure regulator, throttle linkage, fire extinguisher pipes and ignition wiring done. It's the last fiddly bits that always take the time as until I'm happy with the appearance I won't or rather I can't leave it and try other ideas.
The Eagle E type going back together with it's new picture frame fitted and a bit of tidying up as this car is used pretty regularly hence it gets dirty.
A new bespoke aluminium radiator is due in a day or two and then the bonnet can go back on. Everything is much easier while it is off ! A lovely TR3 dropped off to have a wire wheel conversion and general once over for the summer. The owner purchased the car a while back but has never got round to using it due to some small issues. Hopefully we can rectify the situation.
' The Eagle has Landed' or is it ' Where Eagles Dare'. Anyway it's one of my favourites ! Time for a bit of a strip down to have it's annual once over (this one gets used) and replace the picture frame. It has the usual damage from being jacked up on it and is getting a bit rusty. It has also shown some damage to it that has been hidden for donkeys years by the steering rack solid mountings.
Another mint E type not used regularly. This is why we always say to use your classic car as this is what the inside of your petrol tank will look like if you don't !!
We uncovered the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage today as I haven't looked at it in quite awhile. I had forgotten what a stunning car it is , one of only 160 DB6's register on the road in the UK of which only 3 are a vantage , low mileage, low owners and must be one of, if not the best there is. It's looking for a new custodian so if your interested give me a ring.
