First in-house Rover v8 inlet manifold ready to go off for first trial casting. Fingers crossed there isn't to much to be done on the first alloy one before we produce them for real.
My 3.5 vanden plas EFI. Converted to a manual yrs ago. I've owned it since 2008 and only just started driving it and tidying up !!
Been getting this old girl ready for an mot as Caroline say's she wouldn't mind using it. Probably do it good as in nearly 10 yrs of ownership I've only used it for about Five days !
A little bit of it's history, Rover never made a manual 3.5 Vanden Plas EFI from the 1100 built but a guy working I believe at a Land rover dealer converted it and fitted a very potent 4.6 so as too do some sprinting with it in the early 2000's. It proved to quick for the next owner even with XJS brakes, Koni shocks etc . He also had a low mileage vitesse that he had owned for years so asked me to swap the running gear over which I did and he still uses as a road car. I then kept this but sold it on as I couldn't help myself in it and was becoming a boyo ! The customer I sold it to said it was making him a speed demon as well and was afraid of losing his licence so I bought it back and forgot about it really but it's one of those cars that always starts even when left for years at a time so I think she deserves some love ! |
